From pricing to installation day to takedown — here's everything homeowners ask us before booking. Still have a question? Get in touch.
October or early November is the sweet spot. That's when we do the bulk of our installs, and booking in that window gets your lights up and glowing well before Thanksgiving. Those dates go first, so the earlier you reach out, the more choice you'll have on your install day. Don't stress about it — just give us a call and we'll make it easy.
Aim for October or early November — that's our main install season, and those dates fill first. We ask for at least 3–4 weeks' notice before the day you want the lights on. Returning customers are often pre-booked from the previous season, so if you have a particular date in mind, the sooner you call the better.
Absolutely — always. We'll schedule a virtual call to go over your home and give you a cost estimate at no charge and with no obligation. We want you to feel completely comfortable before committing to anything.
Every home is different, so we always do a custom quote. That said, most residential installations fall between $700–$3,000 depending on the size of your home, number of features (roofline, trees, walkways), and the lights used. We provide complete transparency — no hidden fees, no surprises. The quote you receive is what you pay.
We handle everything. We supply all the commercial-grade LED lights, clips, extension cords, and hardware. You don't need to purchase, store, or bring anything — that's the whole point. We take care of every detail from start to finish. We install our own commercial-grade lights on every job — it's how we guarantee the look, the safety, and the full-season warranty.
Takedown is included in every package — we'll schedule the removal after the holiday season (typically January). The lights themselves are ours, not yours — we pack them up and keep them in our climate-controlled facility, cleaned, tested, and ready to go the following year. You never store anything, and there's no tangled mess waiting for you next fall.
Most residential installations take between 2–6 hours depending on the scope of the project. A standard roofline and a few trees is typically a half-day job. Larger homes with multiple features, walkways, and custom elements may take a full day. We'll give you a time estimate at your free consultation.
Never. We use professional clip-and-hook systems that attach directly to gutters and fascia boards without any nails, staples, or penetrations. Our installation methods are specifically designed to protect your roofing materials. Many homeowners are amazed by how clean and invisible the mounting looks when finished.
Light rain and cold temperatures don't stop us — our team is equipped to work in typical Illinois fall weather. However, if there's a severe storm, heavy rain, or unsafe conditions, we'll contact you and reschedule as soon as possible. Your safety and the quality of the installation always come first.
It's helpful to be available at the start and end of the job, but you don't need to supervise the entire installation. Many of our customers go about their day while we work. We'll check in with you at the beginning to confirm the plan, and walk you through the finished result at the end.
We use commercial-grade outdoor LED lights — the same quality you'd see on a professional display or storefront. They're significantly brighter, longer-lasting, and more energy-efficient than lights sold at hardware stores. All our connections are weather-sealed and rated for outdoor use in freezing temperatures.
That's what our maintenance service is for. If you notice a bulb out or a section of lights not working, just give us a call. We'll come back out and make it right — usually within a few business days. Your display should look perfect all season long, and we stand behind that.
Safety is a top priority. We calculate the electrical load before every installation, balance lights across multiple circuits, and use GFCI-protected outdoor outlets. Our LEDs draw a fraction of the power of traditional incandescent lights, which dramatically reduces the risk of tripping breakers. If your home has older electrical, we'll discuss that with you upfront.
Yes! We work with small businesses, retail storefronts, office buildings, restaurants, and HOA common areas. A beautifully lit business exterior during the holidays makes a tremendous impression on customers and creates foot traffic. Contact us for a custom commercial quote.
We typically schedule takedown in January, after the holiday season wraps up. We'll coordinate a specific date with you. Takedown is included in all our packages. If you'd like lights down before New Year's or after a specific date, just let us know — we'll accommodate whenever possible.
We're always happy to help. Reach out and a member of the Twinkle Bros team will get back to you quickly.
